5 Of The Shortest Managerial Reigns In History

1. Leroy Rosenior – 10 minutes

He was appointed as Toquay manager whilst they were being taken over by a local consortium, but as soon as they took over, they wanted him gone and he lasted just 10 minutes.

2. Dave Bassett – 4 Days

He never actually signed a contract at Crystal Palace but managed to do four days work as a manager before deciding it wasn’t for him and returned to Wimbledon

3. Alex McLeish – 40 days

He left Nottingham Forest just after five weeks because of a dispute with the clubs owners over transfer policy after failing to win over the squad and fans in his time there.

4. Les Reed – 40 days

Took over from Ian Dowie at Charlton, but had a disastrous start after losing in the cups to lower opposition and they slipped into the relegation places in the Premier League. Reed was sacked on Christmas Eve.

5. Henning Berg – 57 days

He was sacked less than eight weeks after not impressing the Blackburn owners. Before he joined he said: “no real managaers with credibility would accept a job like that.”
