Eating Out in Manchester On A Student Budget

So I understand most of us are on a tight budget which probably means you’re broke and poor all day every day. I feel your pain, and so I am here to help you ease it with food that definitely won’t require you to break your piggy bank.

Turing Tap

Price range: From £3 onwards

Located along Oxford Road in Manchester and just 5 minutes’ walk from the University of Manchester, this craft beer kind of pub has got really good offers. Every Wednesday, you better grab those 10 wings for £3 which you could share with your mates! Psst, if they ask you which sauce, I reckoned the spicy one.

Al Jazeera @ Curry Mile

Price range: From £2.50 onwards

You’d be spoilt for choice with the food options along curry mile, but my personal favourite is Al Jazeera. And my personal pick is Number 2 Kebab & Naan, the portion is big enough for two people, yet it only costs £2.50. Really good value for money.

Price range: From £3 onwards

Not forgetting those who crave chicken like I do. Chesters sell £1 chips that come in a big box, great for sharing with your mates. Or if chips just won’t fill your stomach, get the 2 piece chicken for £2.19. They’ve got many outlets around Manchester and one outlet in Bolton.

Yoyo Noodles

Price range: From £3.99 onwards

And for those who crave Asian fusion take-outs, you need to try YoYo Noodles in Fallowfield. My personal favourite is Tokyo Classic, and I would usually get the large portion. Also, show your student card to get 10% discount!

These are my personal favourite go-to restaurants whenever I get hungry after 7pm. Comment down below if you do have any suggestions for good food around Bolton or Manchester, I would love to check them out!
