It’s that time of year again, The Bolton Food and Drink Festival is back! Bolton Town Centre is set to be lively and buzzing with people ready to try amazing cuisine and drinks over the bank holiday weekend. So you don’t miss out on all the fun, here are 5 reasons why you should visit the festival again this year.
1. BIGGEST IN THE NORTHWEST!
Returning for its 13th year, the festival is set to be bigger and better than ever. There are over 200 stalls across the town centre for you to check out, including the return of Ridiculously Rich, belonging to 2016 Apprentice Winner, Alana Spencer – a firm favourite amongst our team!
2. IT’S MORE THAN JUST FOOD!
Yes, it’s a food and drink festival but there is all sorts of family fun going on during the 4 days. Take a trip down to the festival stage where you can check out Bolton’s finest bands and musicians and hang out with the many street performers.
3. MEET CELEBRITY CHEFS!
The celebrity line up this year will see the return of the likes of Michael Caines, James Martin, Ainsley Harriott and debut of ‘The Great British Bake-Off star’ Nadiya Hussain.
Here’s a throwback to when we chatted with Simon Rimmer at last year’s festival!
4. TRY FOOD FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES!
The food festival is a great opportunity to eat food you wouldn’t necessarily try. Whether you’re after something spicy, savoury or sweet, the festival has it all!
5. CHECK OUT THE CAKE!
Another year brings another extraordinary cake. This time the inspiration is from the revamped Egyptian exhibition at Bolton Museum which is set to open later this year.
