Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

Manchester United secure 2nd place after a draw against West Ham.

Jose Mourinho makes 8 chances before the game, Lukaku misses out the game due to an ankle injury while Fellaini misses the game due to a muscle injury, however, Sanchez and Phil Jones are available after the defeat Brighton.

Manchester United has drawn more games 0-0 than other teams in the Premier League since the 2012/13 season (19) and has also secured second place which has led to them getting into the Champions League next season.

The first 27 minutes of the game was filled with Manchester United putting pressure on West Ham’s defence, but West Ham broke through United’s Midfield. However, Herrera hooked the ball clear from danger. Then 3 minutes later fires a low 30 yards but its zips wide of the post. While Luke Shaw shoots from 25 yards out and Arnautovic shoots a low cross leading to a tight angle shot. However, in the last few minutes, Manchester United failed to score with a failed shot which went very wide

In the second half, Manchester United was pounding at West Ham’s defence with the likes of Lingard, Sanchez and Pogba making dents but not getting through and the likes of Smalling and Valencia connecting with the ball but not finishing it. This shows how hard Manchester United has been working this season. On the other side, Arnautovic and Noble are plucking at the defence, which shows West Ham’s determination to stay up in the Premier League.

With the season drawing to the close Manchester United is happy with a 2nd place ending as it is the highest they have been since the 2012/13 season.
