Summer Smoothie Recipes

Summer is here and here to stay. The sunny weather has led to me experimenting with some new smoothie recipes and I’ve become slightly addicted. They’re healthy, tasty and refreshing. It’s the perfect, easiest guilty pleasure (without feeling guilty). And you can have them any time of the day. Seriously perfect. So here are five of my favourites for you to try out too.

Simple berry

–       1 banana

–       two handfuls of frozen berries (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries)

–       ¼ of a pint of milk

–       A spoon of natural plain yoghurt


–       1 banana

–       ½ cup of pineapple chunks

–       ¼ cup coconut cream and ¼ cup of coconut milk

–       4 ice cubes



–       2 cups of milk

–       2 cups of frozen sliced peaches

–       orange juice

–       5 ice cubes



–       A cup of spinach

–       A cup of kale

–       1 cup of water

–       1 cup of almond or coconut milk/water

–       1 banana or a handful of berries

A bit of everything

–       1 Banana

–       1 avocado

–       2 handfuls of berries

–       A splash of apple juice

–       1 spoonful of natural yoghurt

–       ¼ pint of milk

Just give them a go and adapt them to whatever you like (or whatever is left in your fridge). Maybe you’ll find something even better.
