The top 5 ultimate books: YOU must read…

The top 5 ultimate books: YOU must read…

There has been so many opportunities this summer to pick up a new book and in fact after all the hard work at college – I’ve been able to read a tonne of books! There isn’t any stress hanging over me. Only A-level results day which is next week L also, I have not been busy for such a long time which makes me feel so relaxed and happy.

So here are 5 books I’ve adored and not been able to put down. YOU should definitely give some of them a go – I recommend them all.

Everything everything:

I love this book so much that I just had to put it in my July favourites as well as this. It’s such an easy and heart-warming read about a girl who cannot go outside, but falls in love with someone who she wont be able to love. But will she? It’s a book full of wonder and enjoyment and going finding your passion even if it isn’t always accessible. I would definitely read this again – by far one of my faves!

This is a very mind using and concentrating book. I find that this book is one of a dystopian fiction. So if that is something you enjoy like ‘The Hunger Games’, this is a book made for you. Set in a world where you are branded flawed if you are nothing but perfect. It’s a book of many losses and one that shows when something happens it brings the truth out of people and it makes our society so clearer even though its nothing like the life we live!

Holding up the universe:

This is such a true and honest representation of how so many of us want to feel. It’s a book where the main character is called for being ‘America’s fattest teen’ who meets a boy that can’t recognise faces. Its an inspiring novel that shows you can be loved – especially by the right people. When the time is right. It’s an ‘exhilarating love story about finding that person who sees you for who you are – and seeing them right back’. Which for me is a yes please! I’ll read anything romance.

The Great Gatsby:

Now I know you all are thinking – why. I know, it’s a book I have to read for English next college year but this book is AMAZING. Which is a bit OTT (over the top) but I honestly think this book is the perfect English literature book. Its got drama, passion, love, inspiration – the dash of a narrator. So many different aspects that are completely different to the usual book I would go for and I’m glad to start studying this in September! It allows you to go back in time to the 1920’s. The beautiful dresses, the illegal alcohol, the first ford cars etc. It’s such an enjoyable read!

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones:

This is an old read – which I know the majority of my friends read in year 8 or 9. But when it first was something everybody read I wasn’t interested. However, time has gone on and I wanted to know what the hype was all about. So about 2 months ago I read this 506-page book in two days and it is actually very good. Another world I wont live in but somewhere that was so easy to transition to – the world of the unknown. I had my esteem needs heightened for sure.

These are the majority of the books I have read over the summer. I’m currently reading ‘Trainspotting’ which is lovely if you want a change from the English language! However, it’s in Scottish.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed. Also, I hope it’s helped you to choose your next read, that was the main priority. Comment any books you recommend in the comments as I’m stuck at the moment too!

Hope you are having a great summer,

Love, C x
